Meetings in which an issuer or arranger presents a proposed financing to potential investors.
Investors review the presentation alongside the required offering documents and their own analysis. Their feedback can help assess demand and, where the process permits, inform pricing or allocations. A roadshow can take place before subscriptions or settlement. Statements about future performance remain forecasts or management claims and should be assessed against the assumptions, risks and formal disclosures.
Imagine a company planning a J$2 billion bond issue. It holds meetings with insurers and pension funds, explaining the repayment schedule and use of proceeds. Several institutions express interest, but only J$1.6 billion is ultimately subscribed and settled. The meetings showed potential demand; they did not themselves deliver the proposed J$2 billion of cash. This is a hypothetical sequence.
